A sales order records what a customer has ordered before you invoice or fulfil it. It can also reserve stock, so the items your customer wants are held aside for them. Here is how to raise one.
From the CRMit menu on the left, select Sales Orders. This opens the list of your existing sales orders.
Click Create Sales Order to start a new order. A blank order opens ready for you to fill in.
Select the customer the order is for. Their details are pulled through, so you do not have to type them again.
Add the products and quantities the customer has ordered. For physical items, adding them to the order can reserve stock, holding those items aside so they are ready to fulfil.
Click Save to record the sales order. It now appears in your Sales Order List.
When you are ready, fulfil the order from stock, or convert it into an invoice to bill the customer for what they have ordered.
Tip: Reserved stock keeps items set aside for the order, so you do not accidentally sell the same goods twice.
Turn an order into a bill, build out your catalogue, and keep an eye on stock levels.
