How to track your search rankings

4 min read·Beginner

SERP Reports let you monitor where your website ranks on Google for the terms your customers search for. Tracking your positions over time shows whether your work to be found online is paying off. Here is how to set up tracking.

  1. Open SERP Reports

From the CRMit menu, open SERP Reports to set up and view your ranking reports.

  2. Add the keywords you want to track

Add the search terms you care about. These are the words and phrases you hope to be found for on Google.

  3. Add your website

Add the website you want to check, so the report knows which site to look for in the results.

  4. Run or schedule a report

Run the report now to see your current positions, or schedule it to run regularly so your rankings stay up to date on their own.

  5. Review your positions over time

Come back to see how your positions change over time, so you can tell what is helping you climb and what is not.

Tip: Track the terms your customers actually search for. Ranking for the phrases real buyers use is far more valuable than ranking for words no one types.
