How to manage inbound calls

3 min readΒ·Beginner

When telephony is set up, CRMit can show your inbound calls and match callers to your customers, so you know who is on the line before you pick up. Logging each call builds a full history against the customer. Here is how to handle a call.

  1. See an incoming call

When a call comes in, CRMit shows it on screen along with the number that is calling. You will need your telephony connected for calls to appear here.

  2. Match the caller to a customer

CRMit tries to match the caller's number to an existing customer. If it finds one, you can open their record to see who they are before you answer.

  3. Take the call

Answer the call and speak to the customer as normal.

  4. Log notes and the outcome

After the call, record what was discussed and the outcome. This keeps a clear record on the customer for you and your team.

  5. Create a follow-up task if needed

If the call needs further action, create a follow-up task so it does not get forgotten.

Tip: Logging calls builds a full history on the customer, so anyone who picks up the next call can see what was said last time.
